A very nice little room at the bottom of the Underbelly, and a small audience saw a excellent performance by Kerry Gilbert. Kerry plays a range of characters during her show. The first person we are introduced to is a very nerdy type of lady who explains the plot of some love films at intervals during the show, including Pretty Woman, Titanic and Love Actually in an interesting way. It certainly put me off (like I ever would) seeing Pretty Woman. Is that REALLY the plot?

The second main character appearing through the show is a French chanteuse who we first meet at a child’s birthday party, then later in a street in Paris. It was a very much over the top and slightly cracked performance though decidedly French. We have an Australian on a sabbatical in London (very stereotypical for the most part and certainly offensive to my delicate sensibilities as she shagged her way across London and acted just like you see Antipodeans in the TNT magazine; or how English people act when they go to Europe). A guide dog makes an appearance at one point and there is finally the average housewife on how to cope with a zombie apocalypse.
The show only runs for fifty minutes in the early afternoon, and it deserves a much bigger audience; as Kerry is an excellent actress and the characters she portrayed were delightfully funny and weird. I have reservations about the title, though.
