Gordon is an English comedian married to an Australian. Why do they come and take all our women? Anyway, Gordon’s show is all about borders, whether the outer ones that are imposed upon us or the inner ones we impose on ourselves. He has a little mixer on stage with him to allow sonic punctuation for some of his routines and jokes, plus he uses a fascinating device to gauge audience satisfaction.

The Tuesday night I was seeing his show at the Tron, it was a full house and the audience were in a rather boisterous mood as he began by finding out who had crossed borders to get there. I think the audience were a little too happy though, as they kept interrupting at inopportune moments but Gordon handled them with aplomb.
The show itself was of the journey Gordon had to make to be with his partner and the danger of crossing some borders. He also dealt with the thorny issue of share-house living and the fridge demarcation zone. There is also another story during the show but I can’t give away the surprise, though it’s well worth turning up for.
If you want an hour of entertaining banter about travel and romance, with a few fun facts thrown in, then this is a very good bet. If it’s full on a Tuesday, I’d recommend booking ahead or turning up early. There is a bar in the room as well.
