Back for 2011, 7pm every Sunday on SYN 90.7FM (Melbourne)

Felicity is back with a new show about all the stupid things she’s done, and you’d better believe there are a lot to choose from. The stage is set with a comfy chair on one side, under a (cardboard) lamp, beside a (cardboard) fireplace and a (cardboard) gutar. On the other side of the stage is a distraction and I advise you to keep away from it.

Felicity will endeavour to give three readings from her Book of Moron and between will tell of many more disastrous incidents in her life, ranging from poor pronunciation leading to accusations of racism and the incident with the teeth that led her to find out her ‘other’ nickname from a boy she fancied. The main stories we had for the show that I attended were when she tried hash cookies before attempting an improv workshop, the incident with her IBS and the Christian singing group on a minibus, and the tragic attempt to do a stand-up gig for a Bar Mitzvah for people she didn’t know.

Felicity is a very good storyteller of the tragedies/mistakes in her life and the audience were having a very good time, even joining in with the special audio effects for the introduction to the stories. The youngest member of the audience was thirteen and I think she learned a few new words (especially the bit about the duck which I’d never heard of either, but then I’m sheltered). An entertaining time was had by all, as we revelled in the disaster that is Felicity Ward’s life. An added bonus at the end of the show was a glossy booklet with stories of even more of Felicity’s zany antics, which you can read by your own fireplace. A top show, but not for the kiddies or sensitive souls.
