Back for 2011, 7pm every Sunday on SYN 90.7FM (Melbourne)

Two girls and one boy (who mostly plays the piano) present a cavalcade of crazy characters from the mythical suburb of Checkley Bush. There are the Scottish lesbian couple, a duo called Liza and Cher (possibly a parody of two rather famous old showstoppers), Psychic Paul and him mum doing their call of the dead show, a very hard lady, the Siamese (Romanian) twins, a ballroom dancing couple and a proper celebrity (on the screen).

The two ladies have little video inserts to allow for costume changes and, let me tell you, these aren’t just fillers. The one with Peter Andre was worth the ticket price alone, and when you get to John Barrowman, you’ll know the meaning of camp, darling.

Laura (Checkley) and Victoria (Bush) are very impressive in their impressions of various characters, excellent in the show tunes and amazing in the ballroom sequence where they do an entire routine while keeping the dialogue and characters going. The stage is about a millimetre from the audience so be warned if you’re in the front row, make sure you’re mobile is off (ooops, sorry girls).

This is a laugh a minute show with a bewildering array of characters, excellent timing, some very funny parodies of pop tunes and some awful jokes (that Kermit one?). It only runs for 55 minutes but they pack so much stuff in, it’s unbelievable.

Oh, lots of rude stuff and a few swear words but the Dita Von Teese (phwoar) and the ‘lezzers’ song may be a bit too much for the kiddies.
