Australian Comedy Review

Wayne Dixon’s comedy debut saw him propelled through to the State Final of the 1999 Triple J Raw Comedy competition. In 2002, he won the “FHM Joke Off” and in 2003 he was selected to appear in the prestigious MICF run “Comedy Zone”, going on that year to tour with the renowned Melbourne Comedy Festival Road Show.

In the 2004 Melbourne Comedy Festival, Wayne teamed up with comics Geraldine Hickey and Harley Breen to create “A Harley shaped Hickey called Wayne”, with 2005 seeing Wayne embark on his first solo Comedy Festival, Citizen Wayne. Wayne, Geraldine and Harley went on to form the core of the Melbourne impro group “Cut & Paste”. Originally Melbourne based Wayne relocated in late 2005 to Sydney, the city he now calls home.
