Australian Comedy Review

SISTA SHE first stepped onto the stage in 2002 and spurred on by popular demand created a groundbreaking Hip Hop comedy act that is unstoppable. By 2004 Shelia and Rasheda had performed all over the country, including seasons at the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Brisbane Powerhouse. They had also dropped in to play music sets at the Big Day Out, Federation Square and the Beck’s Sydney Festival Bar to name a few.

2005 was a massive year for SISTA SHE performing their new show The Naked MC at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival and also Feast Festival in Adelaide. They also shot their very own segment on Channel V, Foxtel’s music channel. Then there was a whirlwind trip to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where they held court at late night club venue The Phat Cave, then topped the year of with their very own brand of Christmas Chow – Sista She by Candlelight – in Melbourne & Sydney.

In 2006, SISTA SHE have hit the ground running with gigs at the Melbourne Midsumma Festival and the Sydney New Mardi Gras festival, followed by their debut at the Adelaide Fringe with INNA THIGH.
