Shane Adamczak

(Australia)

A member of new Perth independent theatre company Weeping Spoon Productions, Shane is a 2003 graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts). In 2005 Shane was offered a scholarship at the Total Theatre School of physical theatre and also received the inaugural Graham Emery Award, for achievement as a young artist.

He has collaborated with Tomás Ford to produce and perform the shows Trip Down the Gutter and Difficult Second Novel as part of the Artrage ABDUCTIONS Festival. Shane’s most recent work includes performances in Artrage 2005’s 24 Hour Play Project and Dirty Rotten Cabaret. He also played Rhys in the highly successful musical comedy Checkout in August 2005 and performed in the BSX production of The Visit.

Shane has also written, produced and starred in his first self-devised solo show ZACK ADAMS: A Complete History Of Zack Adams at The Rechabites’ Hall in November 2005. The show then toured to the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festivals in early/mid 2006.
