Australian Comedy Review

Justin D Lodge is a comedian who delves into the magical, the surreal and the fantastical. While most other comedians might occasionally dip their fingers into the realm of the imagination, he literally dives in head first and almost drowns in it. His material touches on issues rarely spoken about in comedy such as hedgehogs, the man in the moon, wizards, eating giraffe for breakfast, Medusa's problems with finding shampoo, playing scissors paper rock with a horse and a eulogy for Humpty Dumpty. This imaginative style has endeared him to audiences at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, the Melbourne Fringe Festival, the Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where he has performed shows. In 2005 Justin was winner of the NSW Triple J RAW Comedy Final and a runner up in the National Final. Since then he has toured the UK and been featured on 'Stand Up Australia' on the comedy channel. Justin has done MC, support and feature spots all around Australia and has supported several fine comedians including Akmal, Wil Anderson, Tom Rhodes and Andrew O'Keefe.
