Originally hailing from Tasmania Josh Earl is now a steady fixture in the Melbourne comedy scene. Josh combines music with stand up in his performances and as well as performing solo, Josh also makes up one half of The Renegades of Folk alongside The Bedroom Philosopher (Justin Heazlewood). Josh debuted his first Melbourne Comedy Festival show in 2005 with Josh Earl is Broke. The Renegades of Folk appeared in the 2005 Melbourne Fringe Festival with their show The Bedroom Philosopher & Josh Earl are The Renegades of Folk. 2006 saw them teaming up again for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in The Renegades of Folk are The Renegades of Folk
