Last year John was nearly shot dead whilst on holiday in a very nice part of the Algarve, by a mysterious yet psychotic Portugese tramp – John wouldn’t have minded, but the guy hadn’t even seen his act.

Not content with narrowly escaping murder in Europe, one of the circuit’s rising stars has decided to try his chances in another continent. Having spent the last few years making folks up and down the UK laugh, John has brought his uniquely skewed view on the world to Australia.

And so far it’s gone very well, with laughs kept to the maximum and death threats from olive skinned vagrants kept to the minimum. His likeable demeanour and hard hitting material draws huge bellowing laughs from audiences – the sort of reaction from Aussie crowds towards an Englishman not seen since one last picked up a cricket bat.

He’s the sort of friendly comic you would want to invite into your life, although you probably wouldn’t want him to drive you home.
