Dave Bloustien

(Australia)

Originally from Adelaide but based in Sydney, Dave Bloustien is a multiple award-winning comedy writer, title-winning improvisor and critically acclaimed stand-up comedian. As a stand-up comedian and improvisor, he’s performed in comedy festivals in five out of six states, as well as in London, San Francisco, Zambia and beyond.

In a previous life, he was a published academic on topics as diverse as epidemiology, Hunter S. Thompson and sadomasochistic punk.

“Bloustien’s an intelligent and funny guy, laid back and engaging; but his real strength is in the writing. Here’s a comic who knows how to craft a strong line onto any topic – and with the smarts to ensure he’s covering ground few others have trodden” Steve Bennett, chortle.co.uk”

“A prolific gagster, using jokes where others would use a full stop … let it be said in print: Dave Bloustien is funny” The Age

“non stop laughs … laid back, engaging and intelligently perceptive” The Advertiser
