Tim Minchin has two collected gongs at the years Chortle Awards, taking out the trophies for Best Music Or Variety Act and Best Tour. Sam Wills as The Boy With Tape On His Face won the Breakthough Act awards. Our congratulations to both Tim and Sam.
The big award, Outstanding Contribution to Comedy, went to Victoria Wood who recently returned to stand up and worked on the Morecambe and Wise television biopic Eric and Ernie (hopefully the ABC will pick this up for us to see!). To view all the winners go to the Chortle website
