It’s time for all comedy newbies to start putting together their best five minutes of material. Registrations for RAW Comedy are now open.
Run by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival since 1996, it is Australia’s biggest and most prestigious open mic comedy competition. Heats start around the country from early January with most filling up quick so all interested comics should register via the Comedy Festival website ASAP! The National Grand Final is held in the Melbourne Town Hall as a feature event of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and recorded for broadcast by ABC TV. The ultimate winner will jet off to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – the world’s largest and most awesome annual comedy fun time!
