Back for its’ third year, The Short & Girly Comedy Gala is an annual fundraiser for the Victorian AIDS Council, who work to reduce the transmission of HIV in our community and to preserve the independence, dignity and health of people living with HIV/AIDS.
Producer Janet A McLeod and her team have put together a huge line up of some of the greatest female comedians in Australia. Performing are Judith Lucy, Cal Wilson, Claire Hooper, Andrea Powell, Kitty Flanagan, Zara, Denise Scott and, winners of our Reader’s Award, the gals from World War Wonderful. Returning recently from triumphant seasons in Edinburgh, Hannah Gadsby & Celia Pacquola will also be appearing along with a number of surprise guests of identities of which Janet is keeping under her hat!
It is sure to be a huge night with promises of tickled Funny bones, socks laughed off and stomach muscles quivering with hilarity.
Short and Girly happens on Friday the 18th of September at The National Theatre in St Kilda, Victoria. The show starts at 8pm and tickets are available through Ticketek. Tickets are $55 full, $45 concession and $50 for groups of 8 or more (phone 03 9299 9030 to book for your group).
