Amazing how just donning a lab coat and some protective goggles can make your pronouncements so much more factual. Rosie comes to us with the history of sex, but she got sidetracked on the way by the research and being dumped by her girlfriend so it’s turned into a bit more about relationships and being in love. She also comes equipped with flipcharts, graphs and a large model of a small thing and a small model of a large thing (no telling).

The room is tiny and the first five minutes was spent getting in extra chairs for all the punters with nowhere to sit, so it’s more than selling out. Rosie comes on, asks a few pointed questions of the audience and starts her lecture. We’re guided through the early days of attraction and gradually work our way up to mix tapes to make love to (and now I can’t get that bloody la la la la song out of my head).

Rosie is an friendly and engaging performer and the audience were quite happy to answer her questions and participate in the games. There are a lot of little jokes and amusing stories as the show progresses and it has a lovely sparkly conclusion. So, if you need a way to spark up your relationship or are just looking to see where you’ve gone wrong in love, this may not have the answers but at least you’ll see you’re not alone. You can even take your mum, as the couple in front of me had, but the discussion about pussy cream and the cupboard full of old tools may mean you never look her in the eye again.
