The show started firing early with some ads combining live action and video screen animations for some local products (Scottish Widows insurance and a consolidated loan company). Very funny and a little cruel. After this we had a series of fast paced and well synchronised skits all centred on the theme of TV, including a football segment (I heard snorts of laughter from the audience, it was that funny), an arts segment (excellent counterpoint to the football), a lovely remake of the Mario Brothers, the sad demise of the Flobadobs, a bit of credit crunking, something which could actually have been taken from a late night quiz phone in and a big musical finale for the lads. There was only one sketch which didn’t seem to fit although it was still funny, and that was the question and answer ‘video’.

The interaction between the two actors and the video screen was excellent and they have clearly have a good on-stage chemistry. Some of the video animation was rather sick (funny), and the cast worked very well in the sketches which relied on interacting with the screen backdrop. Strangely this was the third show in two days which I had seen making disparaging remarks (fully deserved though) about Horne & Corden. Interesting the themes that crop up. Buy a ticket. See this show. Laugh out loud (snort, even). What more could you ask for?
