Sarah Bennetto is a winner. Holidays, cash, a car, concert tickets, and now she can add a corker of a comedy festival show to her list.
Sarah’s an adept raconteur, obviously honed from her experience running the Storytellers’ Club. From her childhood experience with free Sunnyboys to creating her own luck to acquire skiing holidays and tents, Sarah’s rapid-fire delivery spins together a tale of amazing fortune.
Sarah’s experience of winning a car on “In Melbourne Tonight”, complete with authentic footage, forms a particular highlight of the show. Sarah presents some extremely embarrassing actions on her part and provides great commentary on the experience, creating a great deal of self-deprecating humour.
About the only thing that may take away from your enjoyment of this show is the jealousy which it will generate. As soon as Sarah started her Arcade Fire story, I couldn’t help but hate her a little bit. But if that’s the worst thing you can say about a show, then it’s got to be pretty good.
