“The Paradoxical Adventures of Lawrence Leung and Andrew McClelland – Time Ninjas” is pure, unadulterated fun. An all singing, all dancing onslaught of laughs, this show is a pure joy.

On entering the room audience members are immediately greeted by Lawrence and Andrew dressed as ushers. This genuine friendliness has always been trademark of both Andy and Lawrence’s comedy and this combined with their endless excitement makes it extremely easy for the audience to get drawn into their world.
In order to reverse an unfortunate stage accident, Andrew and Lawrence acquire a time machine. Of course, just fixing the problem would make for a very short show, so instead they decide to have a bit of fun first and set forth on their adventures through time, visiting Jesus, Hitler’s Mom and their own childhood.
Lawrence and Andrew have been working together on and off for over ten years now. Since their last festival show together, 2005’s Somewhat Secret Secret Society show, their own stage chemistry has improved dramatically. Where once Lawrence would be overwhelmed by Andrew’s enormous personality, the intervening years have seen him cement his on-stage persona and this allows a much deeper level of interaction. Their willingness to play with the homo-erotic nature of their relationship also provides a multitude of laughs.
This show is fast-paced, hilarious and extremely accessible. I can’t imagine anybody walking out of this show feeling anything less than thoroughly entertained.
