Greg Fleet’s 2009 Comedy Festival show “Where’s my pony” is, in his words, a celebrations of twentyone years in the comedy business. With a back catalogue of material, broadcast-work, acting, and life experience spanning more than two decades, Greg’s got his act down pat, and is as sure footed as a mountain goat. As a young comic fan, I’ve only seen Greg in bite size form, but full size Greg is a treat.

Greg comes across as a generally nice and interesting guy, he’s someone you could see yourself having a yarn over a beer with, and listen to for hours. Through comedy, Greg is very well travelled, and a lot of his show draws from experience overseas, and the contracts between himself and the locations he finds himself in. Greg has been through a lot, and his Aussie story-telling style mixed in with his irreverent comedy detours and incredible quick wit, keeps you laughing and enthralled. His one-liners will have you quoting him with your mates the whole way home, for example; his disgust for racists, and the Jewish.
If you’re familiar with Greg’s work, expect to hear some old classics, but if you’re not, like me, this is a great chance to see one of this country’s comedy icons pouring out his best bits. Plus, expect special guests.
Greg is quick, intelligent, and completely off-centre. Prepare to be blinded by comedy greatness and bald scalp light reflection.
