Bringing laughter to St Kilda for the third year the St Kilda Laughs Festival is back bigger than ever. Running from January 29th to February 7th, the Festival features performances by Tom Ballard, Terry North, the gals from Extreme Blonde, Tony Lofley, Mr Alabama, The Amazing Zig Zag Circus Sideshow, The Baby Seals, Herbie and the Coleslaws, James Moffett & Nick Cody.

The major highlight of the festival will be the Gala Show at the National Theatre on Saturday the 7th. It features spots by Jeff Green, Dave Grant, Lawrence Mooney, Brad Oakes, Bev Killick, The Nelson Twins, Herbie and the Coleslaws and more to be announced! The show will raise funds for the MFB Running Club Fundraiser: Alfred Hospital Burns Unit.

The annual Comedy Convention happens on Sunday the 1st of February that features workshops on Stand up (including words of wisdom from Rachel Berger, Brad Oakes and others) and Impro. The Festival Hub is at The St Kilda Army & Navy RSL Upstairs Bar (88 Acland Street). Entry to The Hub is by coin donation with money raised going to The Alfred Hospital. A number of interesting events will happen there during the festival & will be announced soon.

The Butterfly Club (204 Bank Street, South Melbourne) will host a late night showcase for festival acts on Friday and Saturday nights. Hosted by Trevor Jones (Globe trotting master of the piano bar) the Best of Laughs Fest Cabaret show will feature comedy, music theatre, cabaret and burlesque.
