Sam Bowring – More Irrelevant Bullshit
Sam Bowring’s More Irrelevant Bullshit is a fairly straight stand-up show, flowing though a variety of topics and showing off Sam’s skill as both a writer and a performer.
Sam’s laconic style allows him to deliver his cleverly literate humour in an easily digestible fashion. Playing on twists of the English language and calling attention to phrases that are so often taken for granted, there’s a great deal of intelligence behind Sam’s humour. Jumping from wordplay into stream of thought style absurdity, Sam keeps the laughs coming throughout.
Sam’s rant against the refusal of hotels to honor Do Not Disturb signs is especially funny, as was his unique interpretation of the phrase ‘Snowball Effect’. Also great is his material on the relentless advance of future taps into our bathrooms.
This is a fine collection of stand-up from a great writer, and a fine addition to any night out at the festival.
