Registrations for the 2008 Melbourne International Comedy Festival open on Monday 1 October 2007. The 2008 MICF will take place from the 19 March –13 April 2008.
More than 483,000 people attended Comedy Festival events in 2007, a 16 percent improvement on 2006, outstripping attendances at Melbourne Cup Carnival and the Grand Prix, confirming its place as one of the three largest Comedy Festivals in the world
