So it’s the 16th year for this early morning extravaganza. Shakespeare for Breakfast this year is subtitled ‘Carry on up the Avon’, so expect plenty of saucy wenches and very dubious innuendo as we romp through the work of the bard.
The cast of characters inclue King lear, Hamlet, Cleopatra, Macbeth and Juliet’s (saucy) nurse. The events occur after Puck causes a plane crash while the cast are enroute to the premier of the Carry On Shakespeare movie and hijinks aplenty are about to unfold in the dark and witchy forest of fame. There is also a cameo from a favourite character from last years production!
The cast are all adept at their variety of roles and really look to be having as much fun as the audience. So if you enjoy a panto (great for the kids), or a Carry on film (lots of naughty jokes) or are just up for a good silly start to the day, you can’t go past this.
Just be sure to get there early for your coffee and expect to take ten minutes getting into and out of the room. Plus you’ll be packed in like sardines and the show will sell out.
