Orgasm – The Musical is a late-night musical which takes a long hard look at a couple who are having a little trouble in the bedroom. He is racing to his goal and she’s still waiting for that jump-start.

We see them trying to find common ground through a therapist, toys and fantasies. Finally there is a double bluff that manages to break the seal. The cast all do a good job with the dialogue and actions but I think they may have been hearing the soundtrack a little late as they were often out of sync with the music.

The sex therapist is a drag queen who stops the show at one point to question some audience members. She also uses statistics to help make the points of various scenes, and the conclusion, that we all need fantasies, is one you might need to agree with if you’re going to get the most out of this show.

We get to see a lot of very saucy costumes, the dialouge is very frank and there is a little nudity, so be warned that this is not for the very shy or prudish (like the title doesn’t give that away).
