On a wet and dreary day, we were privileged to see an extra show from the Mosaico Flamenco team. The usual time for Alba Flamenca is 7pm but there are extra shows at midday on the Saturdays.
The hour of entertainment starts with some excellent guitar playing which is worth the entrance fee alone. After the solo, we have the rest of the troupe come on stage for the dancing and singing that will fire up your spirits and make you wish you could join in. Just remember not to join in with the clapping until they signal as some of the rhythms are very complex.
The flamenco dancing from the two female members of the team is of a high standard and the band backing them is very competent and versatile. It’s a pity the piano in the theatre needs a tune but everything else about the production will take you to the sunny shores of Spain for a percussive and passionate hour’s entertainment.
