It’s a pity this venue is so hidden away from the general set of venues as Abi Roberts deserves a bigger crowd to hear her belting out (slightly altered) songs from the likes of Aretha Franklin, Bonnie tyler, Bette Midler and tunes from Chicago & other musicals. These are all used to help her tell that tale of how she started as a troublesome child who grew into the musical diva she is today. Her voice is excellent and her banter with the tiny crowd was warm and friendly. We heard a lot of very funny stories about Abi’s life, received a small present, got to play with naked flames and even did a bit of a dance. This is an excellent afternoon show though be warned it is rather saucy if you’re thinking of bringing the family along.
