The Age 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival has announced the dates for its series of information forums for 2007. Although geared towards artists who are wishing to register in the Fringe Festival, registration are not required to attend. These forums are open to all and are free.

The forums include information nights as well as forums covering subjects such as publicity, marketing, funding and producing. The full list of dates and venues are:

Fringe North Information Night: Wednesday 23 May, 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Fringe South Information Night: Thursday 24 May, 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Sponsorship and Funding: Wednesday 30 May, 6.30pm – 8.30pm, Northcote Town Hall

Full of tips and advice on funding applications, plus handy hints for sourcing and securing sponsors’ support for your event. Guests will include independent artists who have had success in being funded and representatives from funding bodies.

Independently Producing an Event: Wednesday 27 June, 6.30pm – 8.30pm, Northcote Town Hall

Risk Management? Budgets? Public Liability Insurance? Venue Relationships? Come along for a wealth of industry expertise.

Publicity and Marketing : Wednesday 11 July, 6.30pm – 8.30pm, Northcote Town Hall
