Xavier Michelides wants you to be prepared. The zombie wars are coming, and only a razor sharp wit can ensure survival.

All the basics of zombie war survival are covered, from gathering a team together to vehicle acquisition and methods to relieve the boredom of living in a world of zombies. The tips on how to date a zombie in the absence of living alternatives and how to spot a zombie by their empty, empty eyes lead to some great moments.
While the theme of the show is zombies, the zombie material is mainly there as a bridge between topics for Xavier’s solid stand-up material. Punters that have scene Xavier around town or in last year’s festival may recognise some of the material, but there’s plenty of new material and some great polishing on his old material. Of particular note is his already incredible recreation of George Lucas writing the Star Wars prequels which has had me laughing since I first saw it over a year ago and has been given an extended ‘directors cut’ for even more hilarity.
Xavier is an extremely talented performer who seems to be effortlessly funny in whatever form of comedy he sets his mind to. Setting aside his impro and musical skills, this show is a great showcase for both Xavier’s sharp stand-up skills and his great characterisations.
What To Do When The Zombies Attack runs Tuesday through Sunday until April 29th. See the Comedy@Trades website for bookings and further details.
