Josh Thomas – Please Like Me
Josh Thomas really does want you to like him. With free lollipops, Easter eggs and badges how could you not? The fact that he’s incredibly talented also helps.

Josh is a the quintessential sensitive indie boy. With a love of dancing and theatre, Josh is constantly trying to assert his heterosexuality in the face of homophobes, his questioning family and girls that just want to be friends. Josh takes us through the trials of being an unmanly man during his school years and dealing with intellectually challenged bullies.
His tales of his dealings with the opposite sex make for some hilariously awkward stories. From his first time when he may or may not have had sex to his experiences on ‘ecstasy’ during schoolies week, Josh’s nerdish bumbling with the ladies is great comedic fodder.
It’s somewhat depressing that someone so young can be this talented (he’s only 20). His ever so desperate attempts to appear manly are completely hilarious and endearing. Josh is effortlessly likeable and has a great comedic talent – he’s definitely a comic to watch.
Please Like Me runs Tuesday through Sunday until April 29th. See the comedy festival website for bookings and further details.
