He is the nice bhoy of international comedy. So nice in fact that when he drops the “C-bomb” a couple times the nanas still laugh. A superb story teller. With a style that is best described as understated Danny Bhoy turns everyday events, including his own misfortunes into comedy magic.
Like many comedians, Danny Bhoy has some less than kind words about an Australian town. However he chooses to go the road less travelled and leave the somewhat obvious and increasingly tired line of attacking Adelaide’s northern suburbs, instead he passes some well deserved comments on Ballarat’s cultural centres.
The show is well worth the ticket price just for the opening. Danny delivers a surprisingly accurate and alarmingly funny summary of Australian Parliament. There is something for everyone in his show. Laugh out loud from beginning to end. According to the women around me, not only is he funny, he is good looking to boot.
Danny Bhoy is performing at the Royalty Theatre until March 25. Tickets through the Adelaide Fringe website
