A solid sixty minutes of humourous if not side splitting observational comedy. Though it needs to be said that 20minutes of this show is either given over to or shared with Joel Ozborn. Just remember Joel that a bridesmaid should never upstage the bride.
Akmal delivers a tight set, but then again so he should he has performing this show relatively unchanged for more than a year. Thankfully he has dropped the tag line from his promotional posters, “As you have never seen him before!” because if you are a fan of Akmal’s then you have seen this before.
The show includes friendly interactions with the audience, and well timed Arab jokes, a highlight being an audience member’s solo dance to Akmal’s rumba bongo rhythms.
This show will be a sell out and prove to be a popular act for Akmal devotees and virgins alike.
Akmal Saleh is performing at the Royalty Theatre and has two shows left – March 13 and March 14.
