Aussie Success in Edinburgh
Hannah Gadsby, winner of the 2006 RAW Comedy competition at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, has come second in the prestigious “So You Think You’re Funny?” competition in Edinburgh. Over 200 hopefuls entered the competition, with Wes Packer taking out top honours and double act Ginger And Black coming in third.
The competition, which searches the UK for their next gifted young comedians sports a prestigious lineage of winners including Dylan Moran, David O’Doherty, Lee Mack and Australia’s Nick Sun.
Hannah automatically won a place in the competition when she won RAW. Earlier this year Hannah commented “I am very excited about Edinburgh, it’s going to be a steep, but I believe fun, learning curve.”
