Venue (well starting point, really): Outside the Dome on George St
Adrian (the driver) needs your help. He’s got way too much energy and a little bit of madness, and he needs to get it out to the boring people of Edinburgh. He needs a group of people who are prepared to join in the fun and go around the streets of the town (in a big taxi erroneously called a minicab), bringing joy to all he sees. Or at least that was what we tried to do last night as well all went around acting crazy and chasing people about with a megaphone. Problem was, most of the people we met didn’t speak English (Italian, German, French, Arabic & Polish were some of the responses we got!), or they just stood there thinking ‘oh, more of those strange comedy people being silly’.
So if you think you’ve got what it takes and are prepared to shed some of your inhibitions in order to bring a bit of madness into peoples boring and humdrum lives, then get on board the Comedy Taxi!
I would tell you what we got up to last night but I’ve been sworn to secrecy and anyone out on the street would have definitely noticed us (and I think one or two things we did may have been slightly illegal). Go on, I dares ya to do it!
