“Here Goes” is the story of two girls who live together. They have reached the point of co-dependency where they have secret games and elaborate strategies for dealing with the minor complications in their lives. One of them also has a crush on the other.
The girls, Martha and Carol, have been together so long that they have regressed to the level of five year olds (who drink a lot of alcohol). Carol has an irrational fear of opening doors and Martha has the previously mentioned crush plus an inferiority complex.
The play is a riotously funny affair with the girls behaving very manically as they attempt to negotiate life, but the ending came a bit too abruptly and was rather a big surprise. Still if you can forgive them the ending, this is a play that’ll have you laughing for days at the insane antics and slightly twisted lines.
