Venue: Gilded Balloon Wine Bar
A full house for this duo of old stagers thoroughly enjoyed the hour of songs and old (and sometimes painful) jokes. We had songs such as The Old Age blues, the Anti-Political Singalong, a patriotic speech, a delightful song about John Prescott and many others. The styles varied and we had a yodel (for the Nazis), some country music, the aforesaid blues and some country before the big rock ‘n’ roll finale.
I did love that the words were in big print and that they sometimes seemed to be enjoying themselves so much, they couldn’t finish some of their lines. The atmosphere was like that of an old time pub with the singalongs and cheerful punters joining in at every opportunity. This is old time entertainment with a lot of naughty jokes, and you’d be mad to miss it. Just get your tickets fast as they are selling out most of their shows.
