At this year’s Comedy Festival, punters will have a wide choice of late night events to choose from. That is, if they haven’t already gone crazy earlier during the evening!
The Festival Club is back at the usually place, the HiFi Bar. There has been a change in the line up this year, so pay attention.Tuesdays are “Comedy Bingo”. Meat trays and barrel girls make this an intriguing night. On Wednesdays, Wes Snelling presents “Girls Get All The Good Bits”. This is a cabaret night featuring Wes and his band who are joined by various guest artistes. Thursdays are the traditional “iDJs play iToons” night where comedians share the contents of their iPod playlist. Saturdays this year has “Martin Martini & The Bone Palace Orchestra (learn more at Martin Martini) as house band. They will be joined by a number of comedic guests for assorted musical hi jinks. This year, the Scardie’s Superband has moved to Sundays. The rock star dreams of many comedians will once again come true.
After an absence of several years, the bar at Trades Hall will feature a free late show, “Midnight Trade”, most nights of the week. Australian Musical Comedy acts will be the focus. See Midnight for line up details.The Exford Hotel will once again be featuring a late show most nights of the week. “The After Party” will be the place where you can catch various people performing snippets of the shows.
