Every so often you go to gig, see a young comedian and realise you’re seeing someone quite special. This happens rarely, but it happened to me, just before Christmas, when I first saw Adam Knox perform.
As I was watching him I wondered why hadn’t seen him before. There was a reason. At only sixteen years of age Adam Knox had the crowd at The Local eating out of the palm of his hand AND THIS WAS HIS FIRST GIG, ever, anywhere!
Back at The Local the other night, for his second ever gig he once again blew the audience away with intelligent, lateral panache. If I was a comedian and I saw Adam Knox come out and take command of these audiences in such a seemingly effortless manner, I would be a seething pit of jealousy. I think it’s readily apparent to all those who’ve seen this young comedian perform thus far that Adam Knox is truly dripping with potential.
